Innovative ideas for Small Churches are everywhere. But that’s the problem. They’re everywhere, making them hard to track down and use.
Every good idea I’ve ever had came from someone else. I want to use your ideas. And I want to share mine with you. So how do we pull the best ones together?
That’s what the New Small Church Discussion Forum is all about. It’s a place where innovative Small Church leaders can connect to discover what happens when great ideas and great people get together.
Think of it as a 21st century cyber version of the 1st century Jerusalem church. A place where we honor God by having everything in common.
Well, maybe not that grand. How about this – it’s like a cyber tip jar.
Got an idea?
Leave an idea.
Need an idea?
Take an idea.
How Does This Work?
It’s a simple process:
- Click FORUM on the menu bar
- Sign in (to block spammers and keep the discussions on topic)
- Click on the Forum Subject you’re interested in
- Start a new conversation or join an existing one
If you start a new conversation (which you’ll have to do today), be sure to enter a simple, clear Topic Title for it. That’s the best way to draw others in to participate.
To start, I’ve created 7 Forums on the following subjects, based on feedback from NewSmallChurch.com readers:
- Bi-Vocational Ministry
- Churches Under 50
- Administration & Finances
- Staff / Volunteers
- Resource Sharing
- Worship / Music
- Turnaround Ideas
Hopefully, the Forum Subjects are broad enough to cover most of what we want to talk about for now. We’ll add new subjects as needed.
We’re All Guinea Pigs
I haven’t even used this Forum myself, so consider this a Beta test. Maybe even Alpha.
According to the discussion program I used, this Forum has several great options. You can…
- Start your own topics
- Comment on topics others have started
- Follow a discussion by opting to be notified when someone adds a comment
- You can even go back and edit your comment for up to five minutes after pressing “enter”
There’s a lot more I don’t even know about. Plus tons of stuff that can be added as we go along.
For now, it’s functional, but streamlined and simple.
Now quit reading this and get to the Forum! Let’s get this party started.
So what do you think? Do you have a question or an idea you’d like to start a conversation about?
We want to hear from you. Yes, you!
Enter your comment right below this post and get in on the conversation.
